Terms and Conditions
Last updated October 23, 2026
In short: the planner is a free tool that helps you draft a schedule. Its results are estimates. Always confirm your plan with your advisor and the official catalog before you register.
1. Agreement
By using this degree planner you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The planner is run by Nasif Ahmed.
2. What the planner is
The planner builds a suggested course schedule from degree requirements and the information you enter. It is a planning aid only. It is not the official degree audit, catalog, registration system or academic record of any university, and it is not academic advice.
The course data included with the planner is currently tuned to Southern Arkansas University (SAU). The planner's code is open source, so anyone may adapt it with their own school's courses. A copy that someone else adapts and runs is their responsibility, not ours.
3. Results are estimates
- Course lists, prerequisites, credit counts, grade rules and other requirements may be incomplete, out of date or different for your catalog year.
- Terms when courses are offered are assumed to be every semester unless the data says otherwise. Courses may be full, cancelled or moved.
- Course load labels (Light, Moderate, Heavy), graduation dates, GPA and cost figures are estimates. Cost figures use only the rates you enter and do not include books, housing, financial aid or other charges.
The university's catalog, your degree audit and your advisor are the official sources. If they differ from the planner, they are right and the planner is wrong.
4. Your responsibilities
- Enter information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share.
- Check your plan with your advisor before registering. You are responsible for your own course choices and for meeting graduation requirements and deadlines.
- Do not enter other people's personal information, and do not put sensitive information in the Notes box.
- Do not misuse the planner: no attempts to break it, overload it, scrape it automatically or use it to harm others.
5. Ownership
The planner is open source. Its code is published at the project's source code (opens in a new tab) under the MIT license, and anyone may read and audit it, and use or change it as that license allows.
The license covers the code only. University names and catalog information are not part of it: they belong to their owners and appear only to identify the university whose requirements the course data follows. The planner does not use any university logo. You own the plans you create and the files you download.
6. No warranty
The planner is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises of any kind, including that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
7. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Nasif Ahmed is not liable for any loss caused by using or relying on the planner, including delayed graduation, extra tuition, missed registration or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Availability and changes
The planner is free and may change, pause or stop at any time. We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the planner after a change means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict of law rules.
